Kanji to Photoksar via Lingshed (10days-Camping)

Day 01: Acclimatize day at Leh Rest day, because, we care our clients very much, for that we are keeping a full day rest. So that the coming days will not be difficult. So taking rest is very important on arrival.  Night at Hotel/Guest House at Leh.

Day 02: Drive Leh to Kanji village 3800mts, 6 hours via Basgo, Liker monastery, Lamayuru monastery. Kanji is a small village. Which is on the Srinagar-Kargil-Leh highway. The village is situated on an altitude of 3.875 m, and is also the starting point on the Kanji la and Shilakong gorge treks (see also Rangdum-Kanji trek). Kanji is 163 km from Leh. Night at Camp.

 

Day 03: Kanji Camp 3800mts to Base of Kanji-La 4300mts, 6 hours passing by Kanji Village walks to higher altitude slowly. Which will lead us to Kanji la base camp. Night at Camp.

 

Day 04: Base Kanji la to Pigdon-La Base via Kangi la 5100mts. 7 hours. Walking higher and higher, we will reach Kangi la which is approximately 5200mts, you will have wonderful views of greater Himalaya and its ranges, famous two sister peak can be see Nun Kun. The route down towards right along the river will lead you to Rangdum. Night at Base Camp Pigdong la.

 

Day 05: Pigdon-La Base Kanji la side to base Pigdon la  4500mts, 4 hours, today is bit easy day, so after we will rest at camp site. Night at Camp.

 

Day 06: Base Pigdon la to Pigdon la 5030mts  to Dibling 4700mts, 7 hours, It will be again a easy day by climbing those rocky with some snows, it will not be so difficult as climbing snow with huge snows. From the pass Pigdon la you will able to view snowed Zanskar Range from all ways. After going down towards Dibling village, you will pass by rock, zigzag ways and after by many small bushes and trees. Dibling is small village consist with 10-15House holds.   

 

Day 07: Dibling to Lingshed Sumdo 3600mts - Base Barma la 3860mts. 8 hours. Bit early start is recommended, because it going to be bit long day with rocky route by crossing rivers and some time walking by avoiding river walk to Lingshed Sumdo. By reaching Lingshed Sumdo you will encounter with Oma-Chu simply transalate as Milk-Water, after walk some time till base of Barmila Base. Night at Camp.

 

Day 08: Base - Barmi la 4690mts to Lingshed 3900mts, 6-7 hours. Moring after breakfast start to Lingshed village via Barmila which is really not difficult, and while reaching the top, please keep looking to the views, it is also very nice and breath taking. And from the pass you will have some views of Lingshed village with Lingshed Monastery above the village and at right you will see the way to Zanskar valley. After some time you will able to see Lingshed monastery with a fielded village. Night at Camp.

 

Day 09: Lingshed  3900mts to Gongma 3870mts /Skunpata 3700mts via Murgum-La 4370mts 3hours. Climbing a easy pass called Murgonla, you will have wonderful view and sometime you will feel like working on moon, because the area where you trek is amount flat. Eavening you want explore the beautiful small village. Night at Camp.

 

Day 10: Gongma 3870mts /Skunpata 3700mts to Singla Base 6-7hours via KupaLa 4430mts and Singay la 5200mts with zigzag way till the top of the pass, and after sometime walk you will have a view of Yulchung-Narak, which are some village along the Zanskar River and after walking continues to the famous Singay La pass towards left side. By climbing higher and higher you will able to see the beautiful colours of mountains and different shapes of mountains. Enjoy a beautiful view from the pass, and less the one hour work, you will be in Camp, Night at Camp.

 

Day 11: Singay la Base 4700mts to Photokasar  Village 4150mts via Bumiktse-La 4200 m, 4hours, today will be again easy way walking till photoksar village with just a small pass, which is very easy one. Today will be the last night in mountain. Night at Camp.

 

Day 12: Drive from Photoksar  to Leh via Sirsir la, Wanla village and Alchi Monastery, a good day rest after so many days in mountains. Night at Hotel/Guest house in Leh.
